Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” - Henry David Thoreau
Laura is originally from Enfield, CT but moved south for college at Vanderbilt University and happily gave up the snow for the sunshine. She graduated with a BA in English, worked for the college for 3 years and then continued on to earn her Master’s in Higher Education Administration, also from Vanderbilt. After working at several universities in residential life, she found her home in South Carolina. She has experience at Horry Georgetown Technical College providing disability services and career counseling, the University of South Carolina assisting pre-professional students, and most recently at College of Charleston where she found her fit in advising. Laura, her husband, and her Boston Terrier, Oliver, are excited to move back to Horry County and are in the process of building their home on family farmland.
