What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall

Biography

Originally from Roanoke, Va., Lindsey Hanks became a Myrtle Beach resident, and, most importantly, a Chanticleer right out of high school. During her time at CCU as a student, Hanks was an active student leader on campus and member to a number of organizations. Upon earning a degree in health communication, she returned home to Virginia and became a Hokie while she pursued a master’s degree in communication at Virginia Tech. But, knowing that CCU would always be her true home, Hanks couldn’t wait to come back to Teal Nation, joining the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts advising staff in 2019. Through working in advising, Hanks seeks to positively impact students’ lives and help them “Feel the Teal” just as she had as a student. One can usually find her at musicals and theatre arts productions on campus, Coastal sporting events or lounging by a pool, reading books and listening to true crime podcasts.
