Teaching Associate, English
Making is the mirror in which we see ourselves.” – From the poem “Advice to the Players” by Frank Bidart
David Weber is from southern New Jersey but grew up outside of Charleston, SC. He moved to Myrtle Beach to attend Coastal Carolina University in 2006. After graduating with his BA in English, David had been living the life of a writer: working in customer service, learning how to appropriately handle rejection, and travelling around the country aimlessly. Having returned to Myrtle Beach in 2013, David entered the MA in Writing program at CCU. He graduated in 2015 and began teaching at Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College during the Fall 2016 semester.

David has written several reviews for New Pages, a website dedicated to “news, information, and guides to literary magazines, independent publishers, creative writing programs, alternative periodicals, indie bookstores, writing contests, and more.”
Weber teaches English 101 at Coastal Carolina University and English 100 at Horry-Georgetown Technical College as part of the Bridge Program.
Weber’s primary focus is on Creative Writing, but he has found a multitude of happiness during his research of American Culture during the Civil War, specifically Walt Whitman’s publications during the mid to late 1800s.
