Ray Moye has his PhD in Medieval Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He specializes in the translations of Alfred the Great and studies Chinese Literature and Language.

Interesting Facts
He has taught many times in various parts of China. His favorite author is Mo Yan, the 2012 Nobel Prize Winner from mainland China, Shandong peninsula. Currently he is working on translating, with lots of help from his Chinese students, a graphic novel version of Beowulf into Mandarin.
