Biography

Adam Powley has been involved in the field of History education for over a decade. After starting as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher in upstate New York, he returned to graduate school and earned a Master’s Degree of History from Monmouth University located in West Long Branch, New Jersey. While earning this degree he worked with the Monmouth County Historic Services and interned at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. After obtaining this degree in Mr. Powley and his wife moved to South Carolina where he began teaching as an adjunct professor of History at Horry Georgetown Technical College and then, since 2008, as the Dual Enrollment American History Teacher at HCS Early College High School. Additionally, he is currently a teaching associate at Coastal Carolina Univesity.
