Biography

He was born in upcountry to a chemist and and educator in 1948.  He joined civil rights movement in Columbia because of his girlfriend, now wife Rita.  He has taught at UNC Chapel Hill, University of Mississippi, St Andrews Presbyterian College, Florida International University, and Emory & Henry College.  He writes intellectual biography of southern figures.
