Director of Student Success, Recruitment, and Career Transition
Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." — Christopher Robin
Kaitlyn Maines-Presley (she/her) was born in Portsmouth, N.H., but did not stay there for long. Her dad is a Marine, so she had to move every two to three years as a child. She has lived in New Hampshire, Maine, California (three different times), Alabama, Tennessee, Japan, and South Carolina. After settling into South Carolina, she chose to attend Coastal Carolina University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communication as a first-generation college student. Immediately after graduation, Kaitlyn jumped into the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program and furthered her education in communication. While in her master's program, she realized that she had a passion for teaching and higher education (big ah-hah moment). After graduating with her master's degree, Kaitlyn began her higher education career in the Office of Admissions as an admissions counselor, then transitioned into academic advising, and is now Director of Student Success, Recruitment, and Career Transition for the Edwards College. Through her current position, Kaitlyn gets to do what she loves most — help & support students. When she is not at CCU, she likes to crochet, be in nature, and relax with her fiancé and two cats.
