Assistant Professor, Director of American Studies
Drew Kurlowski joined the faculty of Coastal Carolina University in 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Politics. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, and his M.A. in Government from the University of Virginia.
His research and teaching interests focus on campaigns and elections, election law, voting behavior, political parties, and American political thought. He is currently finishing his first book, an introduction to election law, which will be released before the 2018 elections.
Before coming to Coastal Carolina, Kurlowski was the senior research fellow at a D.C. voter targeting firm. He is now the polling coordinator with the Dyer Institute for Leadership and Public Policy.
