Biography

Before joining Coastal Carolina, Jacqueline severed as consultant and analyst for state, regional, and county administrations.  She also managed a rural medical clinic in the Dominican Republic where she saw the strong connections between poverty and education, and their combined impacts on health. As an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Politics, Jacqueline’s course offerings include: Introduction to Public Policy (POLI-371), Social Policy (POLI-459), Dyer Fellowship Course (397-Q), and an applied course in community health data where students produce a community health status report for a county-level client (POLI-491).

Education

Master of Public Affairs in Public Policy from the University of Missouri, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.

Interesting Facts

Jacqueline founded the Edgar Dyer Fellowship program which brings together a group of Coastal Carolina students from all colleges and degree programs to study public policy topics.  The fellowship program is dedicated to building students’ research portfolios and can be an effective tool for graduate school admission or future job opportunities.
