Originally from Northern Virginia, Matthew Cobb joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2020. Matt received his PhD at the University of Arizona with research focusing on the impart of urbanization on patterns of armed conflict in developing countries. He currently teaches in the Intelligence and National Security Studies program at Coastal Carolina University. His research interests include topics such as international security, political violence, and demography. Prior to his doctoral studies, Matt worked at the US Department of Commerce.
