Biography

Robert Davis, Ph.D. has extensive senior level US government experience, including appointments as:  Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Space; Professional Staff Member on the US House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee with oversight responsibilities for intelligence programs and activities; and Member of the US Congressional Commission on National Security Space.  He served as president of a company that provided strategic planning advice on national security issues to industry as well as US and foreign governments, and also served as president of a nongovernmental organization that funded and built a residence and school for Tibetan orphans in western China.  Finally, prior to joining the Coastal faculty, he taught at Virginia Tech, and also was a visiting scholar at the Cold War Institute, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China.
