Biography

Virginia Norris began teaching at Coastal Carolina University in 2013.  Prior to coming to CCU, Norris worked in community and economic development at both Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. As a senior planner, Norris was honored to write the first Agritourism Ordinance in the State of South Carolina to aide farmers interested in pursuing these activities on their property. Norris also developed a presentation to train government employees on diversity and Title VI programs.  In her spare time, Virginia coauthors a series of children's books called The Great Adventures of Parsley the Piggie with her daughter Sophie and serves on the Waccamaw Market Cooperative Board of Directors.
