Gregg Alyn Buck (MFA, University of Maryland), Technical Director, is a seasoned theatre technician, artist, and designer specializing in digital processes and computer visualization for scenic and projection design. Regional scenic designs for theatre include the U.S. premiere of From Here to There (Imagination Stage, Washington DC), Wit (Texas Reparatory Theatre, Houston, TX), Amy’s View (Stages Reparatory Theater, Houston, TX), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Surflight Theater, Beach Haven, NJ), and The Importance of Being Earnest and On Golden Pond (Unity Theatre, Brenham, TX). He also designed lights for Whit McLaughlin’s New Paradise Production’s staging of their award-winning play Prom. Gregg served as Scenic Designer and Technical Director for National Geographic Channel’s documentary Life on Death Row. In 2012, he designed projections for Community Conversations as part of an NSF grant promoting conversations about hydraulic drilling (fracking). Gregg was invited to study scenic design with Ming Cho Lee at the Kennedy Center in 2004, and has continued to further his education by studying scenic painting with Rachel Keebler and Susan Crabtree at Cobalt Studios in White Lake, NY. Gregg is a recent winner and multiple time nominee for Best Set Design and Best Production Design at Thalian Hall’s Wilmington Theater Awards, in Wilmington, NC.
