Biography
Dr. Sam Abuomar is an Assistant Professor at the Computing Sciences Department at Coastal Carolina University. He was an Assistant Research Professor and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) at Mississippi State University, USA. Dr. Abuomar has made significant contributions to his field by succeeding in developing and applying different signal processing, data analytics, computational intelligence, data mining, knowledge discovery, and intelligent systems techniques and algorithms to propose a data analytic methodology for materials informatics after applying such techniques on some datasets of particular domain in order to discover and model certain patterns, trends and behavior related to that domain. He has over 20 refereed journals, conferences, and technical reports. He supervised one master degree student, and two undergraduate students. He has been a principal and a co-principal investigator for projects funded by the US National Science Foundation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Sam has also been invited to give theme presentations and lectures in many conferences and workshops around the United States.
