Marcella began working at CCU 10 months after completing her B. S. degree in Sociology from which was formerly known as USC - Coastal Carolina College, now Coastal Carolina University. Over the course of being employed at CCU, she has worked in the Office of Admissions, Human Resource, the College of Education and now she resides in the College of Science. Prior to her role as Senior Assistance Director of Transfer Students in Admissions she completed her Master of Education degree in Community and Occupational Programs at the University of South Carolina.
Marcella works with First-Year Students in the majors of: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Marine Science, and Sociology. She loves working with students and states, that it is just something exciting and stimulating about waking up every day and coming to her alma mater to be a resource for the students and at the end of the day going home refreshed and fulfilled because she was of some service to them. Marcella has several favorite mottos that inspires her to practice being optimistic, but this one in particular is her favorite, “If you find a career you love, you‘ll never work a day in your life”.
