Biography

Debendra Banjade has been a Coastal faculty member since August 2014. His research areas include operator theory, complex analysis, functional analysis, and harmonic analysis. In addition, he is interested working on mathematical modeling and numerical analysis.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with a minor in statistics and economics, and a master's degree in mathematics with distinction in 2007, both from Tribhuvan University; a master's degree in mathematics in 2010 and a Ph.D. in mathematical analysis in 2014, both from the University of Alabama. His dissertation was awarded “outstanding research by graduate student 2013-2014” by the Department of Mathematics at The University of Alabama. Before joining Coastal Carolina University, he had seven years of teaching experience: as a lecturer at Xavier International College in Nepal from 2007 to 2009 and as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Alabama from 2009 to 2014.
