Biography
Deepak Basyal, Ph.D., joined Coastal Carolina University in Fall 2020.
Before coming to CCU, Basyal worked as an assistant professor of mathematics on various campuses of the University of Wisconsin system (2015-2020). He earned an M.S. (2010) and Ph.D. (2015) in mathematics from New Mexico State University and a Master of Arts in mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, in 2004. In addition to teaching undergraduate mathematics courses in various institutions in Nepal, Basyal also taught high school mathematics courses at Kathmandu Model Higher Secondary School for three years.
His research interests include mathematics education and the history of mathematics.
