Matthew Wood is the full-time Academic Advisor and a part-time Teaching Associate for Interdisciplinary Studies. He earned an Associate in Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Counseling, a Master of Education in Learning & Teaching, and is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy in English. His research area is in digital culture.

Matthew has been visiting the Myrtle Beach area since he was young and currently lives within walking distance to the ocean. He enjoys riding motorcycles, tasting craft beer, and appreciating the natural world.
