Transfer of SEVIS Record
F-1 students currently studying in the United States at another institution who would like to transfer to Coastal Carolina University will be required to transfer their SEVIS record to CCU.
After receiving an admissions letter from CCU, connect with an international student advisor at your current institution request a transfer of your SEVIS record. Each school has a different process so please work directly with your school to ensure you are following their preferred procedures and understand their timelines.
If you have an on-campus job, CPT or OPT authorization with your current school, you are no longer eligible to work after your transfer release date.
Please note: Coastal Carolina University requires a International Transfer Clearance Form to be completed by the international student advisor at your current school.
Our SEVIS School Code is: ATL214F01398000
Admissions will request an I-20 on your behalf. After all of the required I-20 documentation has been received and the transfer release date has passed, an I-20 will be created. You will not receive an I-20 prior to arriving on campus, unless you plan to travel internationally during the semester break and have discussed this with our ISSS advisors.
