The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS)
Gates Millennium Scholar Program

  • Deadline: January
  • Award Value:  up to the cost of attendance
  • The GMS Program, funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was established to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate degree in any area of interest. Continuing GMS students may request funding for a graduate degree program in an area of math or science.

International Study Abroad Scholarship

  • Deadline:  For spring programs: October; For summer and fall programs: March
  • Award Value:  up to $5,000
  • The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad; must qualify for Pell Grant to be eligible to apply.

Goat Island Boat Club Scholarship

  • Available to high school seniors from one of the five counties that border Lake Marion, or continuing students majoring in marine science, forestry, or other field focused on environmental protection.

Barry Goldwater Scholarship
Guidelines and Application for Scholarship established by Congress in 1986

  • Deadline:  February
  • Award Value:  up to $7,500
  • Available to college sophomores and juniors who plan to pursue careers in mathematics, natural sciences or engineering and have completed intensive research in their area of study. Strong candidates intend to pursue doctoral degrees in the math/science/engineering fields.

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation
About the Harry S. Truman Scholarship

  • Deadline:  February
  • Award Value:  up to $30,000 towards graduate education
  • Available to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service. Awards are given to be used towards graduate study.

  • Award Value:  $2,500
  • Various opportunities available to current college students, specialized opportunities available to students majoring in a travel or tourism related field.

HubShout Internet Marketing Scholarship

  • Available to US residents. Applicants must have at least one year of post-secondary education and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship is designed to help students who are on the path to a business or marketing career that will involve online marketing.
