Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

Many Ph.D. programs are now waiving GRE scores. Our admissions committee reviewed our admissions requirements and determined that a M.S. thesis is a better predictor of performance in the PhD than GRE scores. However, in the absence of a Master's thesis, the committee determined that the GRE scores are a needed evaluation metric.
