Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

This change to accept any of the statistics courses as a foundational course for nursing allows students flexibility and is in line with the other programs in the health sciences department (Public Health and Health Administration). When students come in with a prior degree and they did not specifically have STAT 201, a paperwork process for substitutions is required. At one time, PSYC 225 was an equivalency for STAT 201. We are seeing more students that have a prior stats class and we would like to be able to accept any of the statistics courses for the foundation that Coastal currently transfers in for credit.
