Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

The faculty have had multiple meetings with current principals regarding the preparation of our graduates. It has been highly recommended that our students be required to not start the program until they have at least 3 years of experience in the classroom. Other changes are reflective of current practice in the program and updates to bring our program in alignment with other master's programs at the University including the number of transfer credits accepted into the program.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

We believe these changes will have a positive impact on the current program allowing for more prepared students and stronger graduates of the program.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

There are no financial costs for implementing this request.

If NO change in cost is anticipated, how is this possible?

The changes proposed have no impact on costs to our current program.
