Justification For Request

What research has led to this request?

This course is being developed as part of a new credential in data analytics within the WCOB. Students and industry representatives both have asked for several years for the WCOB to expand its offerings around data analysis skills for managers, and this course is being developed toward that end.

What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?

Little to no impact. This course is purely an elective in the business analytics minor.

What financial costs are associated with this request?

The plan is that this course will be taught in-load for a faculty member. However, faculty are already on staff within the WCOB with the skill set needed to deliver this course. Other than faculty resources, some access to the CI project for virtualization may be required.
