CCU faculty and student present at Veggie Fest

Fredanna M’Cormack, assistant professor of health promotion, Sharon Thompson, professor of health promotion, and Erin Kissinger, a health promotion major, conducted presentations for the general public at Freewoods Farm’s Veggie Fest on three Saturdays in June and July. They each conducted two presentations: "Nutritional Value of Veggies and Help in Buying Veggies” and also “How to Cook Veggies."

VeggieFest was sponsored by Freewoods Farm, a nonprofit living farm which highlights the role of farming in African-American history and the contributions made through agriculture. It is located in Myrtle Beach in the Burgess community.
