IR gets first group presidential thank you

Chris Mee, executive director of institutional research, assessment and analysis (IRAA), and her team were surprised when President David DeCenzo arrived for their staff meeting Jan. 31 bearing a big bouquet of teal balloons and flanked by a posse of well-wishers.

Mee's team was the first entire department nominated to receive the official Presidential Thank You, an effort of the Feel the Teal Service Excellence program designed to recognize ithose who consistently go above and beyond to serve others with excellence.

The nomination transpired after a public relations planning meeting between Sara Hottinger, Brianne Parker, Bill Plate and Martha Hunn. Parker commented on the incredible impact the IR team has on our work, essential to our everyday accomplishments. Each person referenced examples of the excellent work and accommodating spirit exhibited by the IRAA team, and the group agreed wholeheartedly tont he recognition. Parker ran with the idea to contact Nick DeStefano to nominate the department.

The IRAA team received an honorary plaque, and each team member received a nameplate for their desktop commemorating the event.
