Fifteen join the CCU family as new employees

This month's new employees include several new football coaches, and several people who really love steak. They hail from all over the country and have their own unique reasons for choosing Coastal Carolina University.
Sabrina Brantley is a first-shift custodian from Conway who likes shopping and traveling.
Susan Davidson, a native of New York, is a custodian with University Housing. She enjoys reading, antiquing and traveling, and she moved to South Carolina four years ago. She is one of seven children and loves the CCU campus environment.
Teresa Gibbons is a student success coordinator in the College of Education. Her favorite food is steak and she loves to read and hike. She spent 20 years teaching eighth-grade science and has previously lived in Hawaii.
Kiara Hurt, who also loves steak, is a systems administrator in the Coastal Office of Online Learning. She owns her own photography business and loves to watch documentaries and shop. She has never been out of the country, but says it's atop her bucket list!
Raymond "Joey" King has joined the football team as assistant coach. He's our third new employee whose favorite food is steak, and he also enjoys hunting and fishing. He is originally from Cedartown, Ga., and has coached a Super Bowl champion and a College National Champion.
Skylor Magee is an assistant football coach from Poplarville, Miss. He has lived all over South Carolina and came to Coastal for its family atmosphere.
Elizabeth "Lizzie" McKee is the new South Carolina National History Day coordinator, and she hails from Pittsburgh, so it's no suprise that she is a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan. She has two master's degrees, one from Duquesne University and the other from CCU. Her family owns a restaurant in Surfside Beach and she loves to read and craft.
Elvis Petrovich is a CCU alumnus originally from Peru. He is a web application programmer in ITS, and his hobbies include soccer and exercise. He has moved five times in the past five years.
Jennifer Samp is a services specialist in ITS originally from Richmond, Va. She enjoys music, reading and gaming, and loves animals. She holds a fine arts degree in vocal performance and says she chose CCU for its location and its mission and vision.
Chad Scott is the director of football strength and conditioning. He loves pizza and fishing with his family. He played football at Eastern Kentucky University and loves musicals.
Tara Sestanavich is a scheduling specialist with scheduling and space management. She is from New York and moved to South Carolina in September 2018. She enjoys exploring, hiking and indoor rock climbing, so you might find her at the HTC Center sometime soon!
Chad Staggs is a new football coach who loves pizza and hanging out with his kids. He loves to cook and says he has lived in every major city in South Carolina. He came to CCU because he felt inspired by the football program's direction.
Jordan Swift has join the custodial team. He loves pizza, video games and reading. He is originally from Pasadena, Md., and formerly served as a correctional officer.
Andy Thaxton has joined the building and grounds team. He is originally from Ohio. He has been married for 28 years, and one of his three children is currently enrolled at CCU.
Donald Vaught has joined transportation services as a bus driver. Vaught has served as a military veteran, a firefighter and a police officer. He is originally from Little River and loves barbecue, ribs, chicken and golf. He chose to come to CCU because he "wanted a job that I could contribute to society."
