Greg Nance receives Army National Guard American Patriot Award

Greg Nance, director of the Office of Veteran Services, recently received the Army National Guard American Patriot Award.

The award was presented to Nance by First Sergeant Shayne Widner of the South Carolina National Guard.

"This is a great honor that reflects how hard Sheila Singleton and Jeremiah Hust help me take care of our military-affiliated students," Nance said. "The support of our University leadership and being surrounded by people who share your passion for service to others have made this award possible!"

Last month, CCU received the Bronze distinction rating as a military friendly school and won a grant from Boeing SC to support area veterans in the transition to the workforce.
