Blair Imani was keynote speaker at CCU’s Ella Baker Day Celebration

Blair Imani was the keynote speaker for the sixth annual Ella Baker Day Celebration at Coastal Carolina University, which will be held on April 9 at 6 p.m. in the James J. Johnson Auditorium. 

Imani is a writer, mental health advocate and historian living at the intersection of black, queer and Muslim identities. She is the author of “Modern HERstory: Stories of Women and Nonbinary People Rewriting History” and “Lifting As We Climb: The Great Migration and the Black American Dream.” She has been featured in Essence, Out Magazine, THEM, Broadly and others.
