Family Weekend 2010 a big success for CCU
Family Weekend is a Coastal Carolina University tradition held every fall. This year, the University celebrated Family Weekend 2010 from Sept. 24 to 26 with almost 600 families attending.Festivities included the Sixth Annual Spectrum Concert featuring Coastal Carolina University bands, the Michael DuBois Solo Circus, a pre-game tailgate picnic and Sunday brunch with University President David DeCenzo.
A historical tour of Conway, a tour of Brookgreen Gardens and a tour of CCU’s Waties Island were also among this year’s Family Weekend events.
Coastal Carolina’s victory over Delaware State University (34-14) on Saturday, Sept. 25 only made the weekend more memorable. Students, their relatives and friends enjoyed the various programs offered and took pleasure in spending time together and becoming familiar with the campus.
