CCU's December commencement set for Dec. 11

Approximately 471 students are eligible to participate in Coastal Carolina University's fall commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Forty-five of the candidates will receive graduate level degrees; 426 will earn bachelor's degrees. Fall and August candidates will be recognized.

A real-time webcast of the commencement ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at www.coastal.edu/commencement.

Dick Raskopf, publisher of the Sports Illustrated Golf Group, will address the graduates, relating "An Athletic Approach to Life," what he's learned throughout his 31-year publishing career. The Golf Group includes GOLF magazine, GOLF.com and SI Golf Plus. 

Raskopf will also be given an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters.
