CCU to host Women's Political Campaign Training School
Coastal Carolina University’s Women in Philanthropy and Leadership is hosting a one-day session called “Take Your Seat” on Saturday, Oct. 15, to teach women how to conduct effective political campaigns. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration.
The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics will conduct the training program that aims to motivate more women to run for office at all levels of government. South Carolina trails the nation in electing women to public office and has the only single-gender legislative chamber in the U.S.
