Staff Advisory group works for CCU staff

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) is working to become more visible as an important on-campus resource for Coastal Carolina University employees.

SAC serves as an advisory team to President David DeCenzo, vocalizing staff comments and concerns directly. Its aim is to make the improvements necessary for CCU to be a better workplace and, as result, a better place to learn. One improvement under review involves new and continued staff training, as was suggested from a campuswide staff survey presented earlier this semester.

SAC members include: Jackie Andrews, Jody Davis, Jillian Ernest, Jesse Gaither, Poppy Hepp, Carolyn Hickman-Williams, Paula Holt, Meg Hurt, Jenna Jazwinski, Ronnie Jordan, Harriette Louis, Tim McCormick (chair), Regis Minerd, Vicky Rabon, Brian Rothenberger, Rodney Sessions and Frankie Weeks.

The committee meets monthly, and the meetings are open to all. The next meeting is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the Lib Jackson Student Center.

SAC is always looking for new ideas and suggestions; its slogan says it all: “SAC it 2 me.” To offer your suggestions, visit the committee’s website at www.coastal.edu/staffadvisory or leave your suggestions in one of the many boxes located around campus.
