Photographic Conference held in area

The Society for Photographic Education Southeast Regional Conference held Oct. 28-30 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center was a huge success, with 168 registered attendees and presenters from across the region.

Assistant Professor of Photography Easton Selby is treasurer of the organization and organized the event. Armon Means, assistant professor of photography, was a participant on the panel “When Does the Student Become the Teacher,” which discussed the transition from graduate school to teaching.

Assistant Professor of Art History Elizabeth Howie presented a standing-room-only lecture, “Bellocq’s Storyville Portraits: Dogs, Deviance, and Domesticity.”
