Campus gets spruce-up and a new digital sign

Just because the holidays have come and gone, it doesn't mean the folks in facilities and maintenance haven't been busy. Here's what's been happening in the last few weeks.

•The Wall Building has newly painted hallways and stairwells.

•There's a new digital LED sign for the University on U.S. 501

•The Coastal Today set has been renovated and fitted with a new, more sophisticated look.

•The Commons Dining Hall has newly painted floors.

•There's a new Videography Studio in the Foundation Center, a joint effort with HGTC.

•The Student Center has a new elevator.

•The Cino Grille in the Student Center has a new ceiling and lighting.

•The Singleton Building entrance now has stamped concrete on its patio, front sidewalk and porch.

•A slip-resistant coating has been applied to the bridges at The Commons, from the Wall Building to the Science Building, from the Wall Building to the Prince Building and from the the Wall Building to the Humanities Building.

•Residence Life halls at Waccamaw and Santee have new thermostat sensors and covers in the rooms and hallways.
