Small nominated for top professor of SC

Kenneth Small, associate professor of investments and corporate finance, was recently named Coastal Carolina University’s 2012 Distinguished Professor of the Year, an achievement that also earned him a nomination for the 2012 Governor’s Professor of the Year from South Carolina colleges and universities.

Small, also the director of the Graduate Program for the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration, was one of 35 nominees invited to attend a March luncheon at the University of South Carolina. During the luncheon, he was presented with a certificate in recognition of his nomination and for being named Coastal Carolina’s Distinguished Professor for 2012.

J. Ralph Byington, dean of Wall College, said, “As the director of the Wall College graduate program, Small has overseen the restructuring of the MBA and the creation of the MAcc. He has the perfect skill set for a University professor, with outstanding teaching, exceptional research and dedicated service.”
