Kimbel Library places in statewide photo contest

The staff at Kimbel Library won two awards in the sixth annual National Library Week “Day in the Life” photo contest. The Kimbel Library staff won in the categories “Most Humorous” and “Library Staff Helping Patrons.” Winners of the photo contest will be highlighted on the South Carolina State Library’s website and recognized during the 2012 South Carolina Library Association Annual Conference, scheduled for Oct. 24 through 26 in Columbia.

A total of 10 photos were selected as winners in five main categories. Photos were judged based on criteria such as quality, subject, creativity and the ability to capture the spirit of South Carolina libraries.
