Cribb elected as first female officer in the CPGA

Paige Cribb, director of student support for the PGA Golf Management Program in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University, was elected to a two-year term as secretary of the Carolinas Section of the PGA of America, becoming the first female officer in the history of the CPGA. The election took place during the 21st Carolina’s PGA Merchandise Show and Annual Meeting in Greensboro.

Prior to coming to CCU, Cribb, a native of Georgetown, was the head professional at Wachesaw Plantation East for seven years. She also worked at Heritage Club, Legends Resort and Bay Tree Golf Plantation. Cribb is an alumna of UNC Wilmington, where she was on the golf team.

“I am grateful for and humbled at the opportunity to serve as secretary in the largest Section in the Country, the Carolinas PGA Section”, said Cribb. “I take this responsibility seriously and look forward to serving the members of our section any way that I can."

As an officer in the CPGA, her primary focus is the overall needs and interests of the Carolinas PGA Member. Cribb’s duties as secretary will be to keep minutes of all section membership meetings and all board of directors meetings, keep a roll of all members and apprentices, and take care of all correspondence and papers pertaining to the section. She must also record amendments to or changes in the association and section constitution bylaws.

Cribb also serves on the national PGA of America Inclusion committee and is only the second woman to serve on the CPGA board in recent years.
