On March 28, she gave the talk “Cedar, Frankincense and Spoils of War: Ancient Egyptian Seafaring” at Harn Museum, University of Florida in Gainesville.

And, the following day, Ward discussed “Red Sea travel and trade from 2500 BCE to the Modern Era” at a meeting of the South Carolina Chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America at the College of Charleston.

"My mission in all these appearances is to promote Coastal Carolina University's new archaeology and anthropology program," says Ward.
