Solazzo goes to Africa
Math professor James Solazzo is headed to Arusha, Tanzania, to teach a three-week intensive course in Advanced Linear Algebra to African students working on obtaining at master’s degree in the mathematical sciences.
The program he is participating in is the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), which is part of the Next Einstein Initiative. AIMS is an African center for post graduate training and research, providing advanced, broadly applicable mathematical skills to talented students recruited all over Africa.
