Feel the Teal: Join the Celebration!

The first six modules offered through Coastal Carolina University’s Feel the Teal Service Excellence Initiative have been very well received, and the universitywide commitment to superior service is something to celebrate. The emphasis on service basics, attitude, civility, history and traditions, assisting with difficult situations and personal accountability has heightened awareness throughout our University of the importance of providing outstanding service. We have seen positive changes and great results from the first six modules and are excited for everyone to participate in the next two training modules.

Module #7 – Service SWOT Workshop (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)
June 2015

Once employees have completed the first six Feel the Teal modules, they are invited to participate in Module #7, the Service SWOT Workshop. This session will last an hour and a half and will be very interactive. Participants will have the opportunity to identify and discuss the Strengths and Weaknesses that impact service excellence along with the Opportunities and Threats presented by various service situations. Information gathered from the Service SWOT will be communicated to the Feel the Leadership Team, other appropriate personnel and to me. Your input is key to addressing needed changes and making service improvements. I look forward to hearing and using the employee feedback to make future service-based decisions.

Module #8 – Feel the Teal Celebration
October 2015

This module will give me the opportunity to personally express my gratitude and appreciation to the employees who have attended the previous seven modules. I will discuss the information gathered during the Module #7 sessions, and time will be allotted for open discussion and idea sharing. In addition, individual and departmental achievements in customer service will be recognized. This module will be a celebration, and I look forward to personally congratulating each of you who complete the eight modules.

Feel the Teal is not over when Module #8 is complete. Continuous improvements are vital in our campus retention efforts, and Feel the Teal will continue to cultivate pride, encourage growth, and provide continuous training and service resources. However, it is important that we celebrate our successes along the way, and Module #8 is designed for just that. Thank you for all you do to give us reason to celebrate!
