Seven Chanticleers Honored as All-Conference Selections

The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team was widely recognized as the Big South announced its annual postseason awards recently. A total of seven Chanticleer student-athletes were named all-conference honorees, while junior defender Maddy Ciardi was voted by the league's coaches as the Big South Defensive Player of the Year.

Ciardi was also honored as a first-team all-conference selection and a member of the all-academic team. She was joined on the conference's first team by junior attack Keri White, who was named an at-large selection.

Additionally, freshman midfielder Haley Kyger was recognized as a second-team all-conference midfielder, while both senior attack Jen Cosgrove and junior midfielder Nyra Constant were named at-large members of the second team.

Rounding out the Chanticleer student-athletes recognized in this year's postseason awards are sophomore goalkeeper Jenna Stover and sophomore defender Karley Barreno, who were both named to the honorable mention all-conference team.

The seven Chanticleers honored across the postseason all-conference teams ties Liberty for the most student-athletes recognized on any Big South team this season.
