CCU’s Retired Employees Group gathers

Coastal Carolina University’s Retired Employees Group returned to campus for a spring social on Friday, May 15.

More than 45 retired faculty and staff members and their spouses attended the event sponsored by CCU’s Office for Philanthropy. Attendees were treated to a trolley tour of campus with stops at the Lib Jackson Student Union, HTC Center and Springs Brooks Stadium. They also explored the newly renovated Atheneum Hall Alumni Center and had lunch in the William H. Alford Ballroom.

Eddie Dyer, executive vice president and chief operating officer, officially welcomed the group back to campus. Gina Markland, compliance and planned giving officer for the Coastal Educational Foundation, offered a short presentation, and Robert Squatriglia, former vice president for student affairs, closed the event by distributing a host of raffle prizes.
