Kimbel has two new librarians

Joshua Vossler is a new information literacy/reference librarian at Coastal Carolina University. He is from the University of Texas at Arlington where he taught library research and English composition.

Born and raised in Grand Forks, N.D., Vossler earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota, a master's degree in English literature from the University of Arizona, and an M.L.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In graduate school, he taught English composition, and he worked in the Rare Book Collection at UNC.

He spent two and half years as librarian at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he also taught research classes. He taught distance education English composition. He also has a contract for a book on the use of humor in library instruction, to be published in 2011.

John Watts is the new reference and outreach librarian. He teaches library instruction, works at the reference desk and works one-on-one with faculty.

Watts is originally from South Bend, Ind., but has lived in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Missouri. He earned a BFA in theatre from Webster University in Saint Louis, Mo., and recently received a graduate degree in library science from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
