Carol Cissel has a book out

Carol Cissel, a retired Coastal Carolina University accounting lecturer, has recently published a book on her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer in Korea in the 1970s.

“Learning to Love Kimchi: Letters Home from a Peace Corps Volunteer” is now available in print and digital formats. Here’s a description of the book:

“A young woman, fresh out of college, sets off on an adventure of a lifetime, 7,000 miles from home. What could possibly go wrong? ‘Learning to Love Kimchi: Letters Home from a Peace Corps Volunteer’ is a memoir of her coming of age as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Korea in the mid-‘70s. During the course of her two-year adventure, she learns to accept, persevere and finally thrive, as she slowly learns to love kimchi.”

Cissel served as both a part-time and full-time lecturer, and she led the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
