HTC Center floor get a new design and fresh (teal) paint

The convocation center floor in the HTC Center is getting a new look!

"About every three to four years, any gym floor needs to be sanded back down to the original grain so that any indentions and stains can be sanded out to make the floor smooth again," said Reiin Mungo, director of facilities and maintenance.

"With all of the different events on these floors, the painted lines and the sealer tend to wear down as well. Most universities change the design up a little when they re-surface their floor as everyone is trying to market their product/university."

The departments of Athletics and Marketing Communication determined the final design of the floor.
