Coastal Carolina University trustees approve Brooks Stadium expansion
At its meeting Dec. 11, the board of trustees of Coastal Carolina University authorized the University administration to move forward with plans to enhance Brooks Stadium at a cost not to exceed $38 million. The expansion is being planned in response to the recent announcement that CCU’s athletic programs will join the Sun Belt Conference effective July 1, 2016. The design, by Stubbs Muldrow Herin Architects partnered with Heery International, will increase the seating capacity at Brooks Stadium to meet NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) requirements.
