Updates on some CCU alumni

Ernest Trey Gerrald '08 has recurring roles on the Netflix hit Orange is the New Black, NBC’s Next Caller, and Hulu’s Deadbeat. He also can be seen in Tina Fey’s Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Steven Spielberg’s TNT series Public Morals, FX’s You’re The Worst, TVLand’s Younger and The CW’s The Carrie Diaries. He lives in New York City and served as the directing team’s assistant on the reimagined Les Miserables, which is now playing on Broadway.

Maranie R. Staab '10 took a trip in December to Uganda with the Pittsburgh-based Project to End Human Trafficking to help communities better respond to the ongoing crisis. Project volunteers work with some of the thousands of children who were abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army, which kidnaps boys and turns them into soldiers and turns abducted girls into sex slaves. Staab, a global sales and client manager for Xerox Services, is an aspiring photojournalist who documented the trip for the project.
