CCU now offering free self-help program to students

Counseling Services has purchased a new computer program that is being offered free of charge to all CCU students called “CU Thrive.” It provides a wide variety of self-help information on topics relating to college life. The hope is to promote the usage of the system to more students. It is designed for CCU faculty and staff to also create personal log-ins so we can know what we are referring to when speaking about the system to students.

A permanent kiosk has been installed outside the door of The COAST in the Lib Jackson Student Union Room A108 where demonstrations are offered on how to use the CU Thrive system, and it is also open for students to use at any time during our office hours. The CU Thrive program is free for all students, faculty and staff to use and works with all mobile or desktop devices. It works best with faster Internet services such as Chrome and does not work well with Explorer as it is too slow. To use the system, students, faculty and staff just go to the following link and create a log-in using their CCU email address:

Please take a moment and create a log in so you can see how the site looks. It offers many resources and connects to the CCU event page as well. You can also filter out if you just want to view articles, videos, checklists for self-screenings, etc. Students can also submit testimonials through typed essay or videos which go to CU Thrive for review. Jennie Cassidy has the final say on whether a video or testimonial goes on the site.
