New manager named in Research Services

Stephanie Cassavaugh has been appointed the pre-award services manager in the Office of Research Services.

Cassavaugh is a professional project manager and has received certification in program planning and proposal writing through the Grantsmanship Center in Los Angeles, Calif. She brings more than 15 years of experiencein nonprofit and government grant administration to the office. Most recently, she provided private consulting services to social service, public safety and correctional organizations throughout the U.S. This work included securing resources through public and private granting entities to support the use of information technology to enhance and improve operations.

Prior to that, she worked at Project Performance Company in McLean, Va., as a senior project manager, where her activities included the management of large-scale service contracts with the U.S. Department of Justice.

At CCU, Cassavaugh will work directly with faculty and staff on all aspects of the pre-award process, including the identification of funding targets, as well as proposal preparation and submission. In addition, she will be working closely with Dodi Hodges and the CeTEAL team to provide workshops to help faculty and staff develop their skills.
